IN just over two years, Tyne Tees Security (TTS) has grown to employ over 120 staff and is on target to hit a turnover figure in excess of £1.5m. Investment in training and quality systems, coupled with top industry accreditation and high levels of customer service, has helped it win a raft of top contracts – and now the New Business Award 2012. Clients include Poundland, Banks Mining, Fusion Contact Centre, Tyne Metropolitan College, Barnardos, J Barbour & Sons, Quorum Business Park and 2 Touch Contact Centre. And a recent independent audit for the Security Industry Authority rated TTS among the top 5% approved contractor security companies in the UK. The company has now launched a training division, as well as a CCTV division which also provides technology like automatic number plate readers. Future plans include franchising, launching a new TTS Worldwide brand to promote its electronic division, and moving into the care sector with the launch of TTS Homecare. Runner-up Marketing Wand has quickly made a name for itself with a results-driven marketing service, while fellow runner-up ADL Joinery have built a business producing bespoke doors and windows for schools, colleges, universities and hospitals. http://www.nebusiness.co.uk/supplements/business-supplements/investing-in-growth/2012/09/19/new-business-award-tyne-tees-security-51140-31862338/
